Insurance Abolition

Campaign Details

For years, private insurance companies have prioritized profits over people, driving up costs and denying timely care. Americans pay the highest healthcare costs globally while enduring subpar outcomes. Insurers wield their lobbying power to influence laws on Medicare, ACA policies, and drug pricing, amplifying corporate interests over patients and healthcare workers.

By imposing prior authorizations, high costs, and delaying care, they disrupt patient safety and workplace conditions for healthcare workers. It’s time to abolish private insurance and create a universal healthcare system that puts patients and healthcare workers first—healthcare is a right, not a business.

Our Impact

We:

Organized a robust public awareness campaign highlighting the harms of private insurance.

  • Launched an education initiative exposing the link between lobbying, delayed care, and rising healthcare costs.
  • Reached hundreds of thousands thousands through social media and events to build momentum for healthcare reform.
  • Gained support from hundreds of new direct-action members ready to challenge the status quo.

Through education and collective action, we are empowering patients and healthcare workers to demand a healthcare system free from corporate greed.
